Cozumel - Mexico
During Mayan times, Cozumel was a sacred island covered with temples and shrines to the goddess Ixchel. Today it's known as an underwater paradise encircled by spectacular coral reefs, including Palancar Reef, a mountainous underwater formation six miles long and 300 feet high.
